Past 2010 Shows

1950's style French singer Marianne Dissard performs live at Zombo Gallery on Tuesday Sept 21st at 7pm. She is world reknowned and has been adding her cool hypnotic vocals to the band Calexico as well as many others. This concert will be an intimate look at this facinating vocalist. $7 cover at the door. Watch us for more way cool touring acts.

Well, between all the events at Zombo Gallery and our outside events, it's been the best summer ever! Thanks to all for checking a few of our many cool things out.

Here's what we have in store for you August til Labor Day.

1. Opening at Zombo Gallery Friday, Aug 13th 6-9pm are Daiv Waley's mind wrenching Polaroids. Daiv has been very active in both the Chicago and Ohio art scene and this is his first show in Pittsburgh, Not sure how he works with this antiquated photo system. His work seems fairly organic and at the same time other worldly. They end up 12 x 12 and are way cool and inexpensive. Show runs till Aug 28th.

Then join us at that same night 10pm-2am at REMEDY (5121 Butler St) for MADNESS. DJ's Zombo and Llamo dig out all their old ska, punk and reggae music to send the summer out with a sizzle. The Zombotron will be making a rare nightclub appearance!

2.Then Nat Chamberlin and Brian "Bullets" Holton curate VINYLPLASTY, a two night only custom vinyl toy art show at Zombo Gallery on Friday/Sat. Sept. 3/4 from 7-11pm. 23 artist were hand selected to take part in the unique event. Vinyl toys are a growing form of art being collected mostly by adults. There will be large scale and smaller scale toys displayed with a companion piece of 3ft x 3ft painting by the same artist. All toys and artwork will be available for purchase. DJ Keebs will be providing the tunes.

3. Art Goes Bowling #5. It's that time already. We have bowling pins at Zombo Gallery to get to you now. You can pick them up here. Then "art them up" then on Monday Sept. 6th (Labor Day) bring them priced to Arsenal Lanes in Lawrenceville at 6pm to sell and display. Cash prizes for bests in show provided by Lawrenceville Corporation. The show runs till midnight and DJ Zombo hosts and DJ's...maybe a live band may pop in as well. All Ages Welcome! No Commission on your pin sales!

We are currently booking the gallery for 2011. Drop us an email!
